Queen Mary of Denmark turns heads in a £970 pencil skirt as she meets German President in Berlin

Queen Mary of Denmark channelled her style prowess as she stepped out in a chic ensemble in Berlin today.

The royal, 52, turned heads alongside her husband King Frederik as they were welcomed by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the First Lady Elke Büdenbender.

Mary looked elegant in a powder blue outfit, which consisted of soft, longline coat and matching blouse by Jesper Hovring. 

She tucked her top into her blue and beige chequered Emilia Wickstead Ariceli Skirt, which retails for £970. 

The mother-of-four paired the pencil skirt with a brown belt which cinched her in at the waist, showing off her slim frame.

She accessorised with a baby blue hairband which she tied around her head, shiny nude pointed heels, a hazelnut-coloured clutch bag and large gold circular stud earrings. 

Mary wore her brunette tresses down in a wavy blow-dry, which was secured by her stylish hair accessory.

The Queen opted for glamorous makeup, sporting pink smokey eye shadow, rose coloured lips and a hint of blush. 

Her husband looked dapper in a navy suit complete with a crisp light blue shirt, black polished shoes and an amber coloured patterned tie.

Queen Mary and King Frederik, 56, are in the German capital to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Nordic Embassies. 

The Royal House of Sweden, the Royal House of Norway, the President of Finland, the President of Iceland and the President of the Federal Republic of Germany will also be at the event. 

Lady Elke Büdenbender chose donned a cream longline blazer jacket and a ivory coloured dress, complete with black heels.

Her husband, President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, 68, wore a black suit, with a light pink shirt, polished shoes and grey patterned tie.

Mary and Frederik will visit Schleswig-Holstein and the Danish minority in Germany and will sail on an electric ferry to attend an energy conference

This evening, Mary and Frederik will end the day with an official dinner in the evening at Schloss Bellevue hosted by the President and the First Lady. 

Tomorrow, the duo will visit Schleswig-Holstein and the Danish minority in Germany and will sail on an electric ferry to attend an energy conference. 

They will also end their visit to Germany by dropping by Flensborghus, the centre for Danish association activities in South Schleswig. 

Flensborghus was built in 1725 with permission from Frederik IV and the bricks used come from ruins of Duborg Castle, which was built by Margrethe I in the 1400s

Mary and Frederik will also take part in community singing led by the choir of Jaruplund Danske Skole.
