Russell Brand ‘rakes in more than £1.2million from bizarre online rants’ since being ‘dropped by YouTube after being accused of rape and assault’

Russell Brand has reportedly made more than £1.2million by filming himself ranting on Rumble after being dropped from YouTube.

The comedian, 49, was accused of rape, assault and emotional abuse as part of a joint investigation by Channel 4’s Dispatches programme, The Times and Sunday Times last year.

He has strongly denied all accusations about his behaviour which allegedly took place at the height of his fame between 2006 and 2013.

Brand started posting videos on Rumble after YouTube cut him off when the allegations emerged.

The star uploads strange conspiracy theories about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as well as anti-vax videos.

Since beginning his journey with spirituality, Brand also recites from the Bible and discusses his religious faith.

His videos have been viewed 160million times since September 2023 on the platform, where the highest earners reportedly make about £8 per 1,000 views.

A source told The Mirror: ‘Russell Brand is raking it in through posting these bizarre videos on Rumble.’

They added: ‘It’s been a very lucrative source of income.’

It comes as the Metropolitan Police confirmed the investigation into rape allegations continues, more than a year after it was launched.

Brand’s conversion to Christianity continued last month as he interpreted the Bible and performed a Baptism in his underpants.

The star was seen standing in a lake with two other men, one of whom was also wearing nothing but his boxers as they carried out the religious practice.

Brand posted the photos on social media accompanied by the caption: ‘It might seem a bit soon to be baptizing people, but the Apostles did it on day one, so here we are.’

Since December 2023, the comedian has published several posts discussing his growing relationship with Christianity.

Last month he uploaded a video interpreting the Bible, in which he expressed his gratefulness for God’s sacrifice.
