Olympia Valance and husband Thomas Bellchambers suffer devastating family tragedy

Olympia Valance has suffered a devastating family tragedy.

The heavily pregnant former Neighbours star, 31, has announced her beloved cat has gone missing.

Olympia, who is expecting her first child with husband Thomas Bellchambers, has gone to drastic lengths to find her furry friend, whose name is Jerry.

The feline went missing on October 15 in the Greenvale area, and since then the TV star has offered a $1000 reward, and even enlisted the help of a pet psychic.

Her mother Tania Gogos-Wilson told the Herald Sun that Olympia is trying everything to find Jerry.

‘She goes to bed crying and wakes up crying walking the streets at all hours calling his name,’ Tania told the publication.

‘She’s done everything she can to the point she is even having a pet psychic reading. It’s more the not knowing what’s happened. I’m so sad for her being the last months of her pregnancy.’

It comes as the Australian model revealed she suffered several miscarriages before falling pregnant earlier this year.

Olympia announced her pregnancy in August after hiding it on social media until the 25-week mark.

She told a recent issue of Stellar Magazine that she was so obsessed with having a baby that she let her career slide.

‘It’s been four years of just thinking about babies. I completely lost myself,’ the Neighbours star told the publication.

‘I didn’t know what I wanted in my career anymore. I wasn’t driven because all I was thinking about was this.’

Olympia says she was ‘exhausted’ by multiple miscarriages and had given up on IVF when she fell pregnant again.

The star was ‘a couple of weeks away from getting an IUD put in’ when she got the good news.

Olympia announced the joyous pregnancy news in an Instagram post while candidly opening up about her fertility struggles.

In photos shared to her social media account, Thomas, 35, cradled Olympia’s growing baby bump as she held a positive pregnancy test.

‘I’ve been hiding away for the past 5 and a half months to make sure this wasn’t all a dream,’ she began in her caption.

‘But you kept growing and growing and it’s starting to look like our dreams have finally come true.’

‘I’ve been as open and honest as I could about our struggles with infertility and I truly believed that this day wasn’t going to be possible for us. So when I saw this positive pregnancy test I have to admit, at the time, I wasn’t jumping for joy.

‘I was full of fear because that’s all I’ve known. But as the weeks kept going by it was hard to wipe the smile off our faces.’

Olympia, who rose to fame when she joined Neighbours as Paige Smith in 2014, and Tom got engaged in October 2021.

The pair began dating in June 2019 after meeting him on the ultra-exclusive celebrity dating app, Raya.
