Rochelle Humes reveals the special treatment she received from I’m A Celebrity bosses while her husband Marvin was in the jungle

Rochelle Humes has revealed she received secret texts from the producers of I’m A Celebrity while her husband Marvin was in the jungle.

The former Saturdays star, 35, has been married to Marvin, 39, since 2012 and they share three children, daughters Alaia, 11, and Valentina, seven, and son Blake, four.

Marvin was one of the contestants on last year’s edition of the ITV survival show and Rochelle has now revealed that she was in touch with bosses throughout his time in the Australian outback.

Each morning, Rochelle would receive a via text message describing the upcoming episode so she could decide whether the programme  would be suitable for their children. 

She told The Sun: ‘I did get a text from the producer every day in the morning, as a courtesy, giving a little synopsis of what’s going to be on that night’s show so I could then decide whether the kids would watch it.’

Marvin was one of the contestants on last year’s edition of the ITV survival show and Rochelle has now revealed that she was in touch with bosses throughout his time in Australia 

‘She’d also be like, ‘Everything’s fine,’ which was so weird, another woman telling me my husband’s okay!’

The pair enjoyed a memorable reunion towards the end of Marvin’s time on the series, which saw them share a kiss in the outback.

She now uses the whole thing to remind herself just how much she missed him when he was away. 

She added: ‘It’s a good way to add a bit of, ”Oh, my God, I actually did really miss you. I do really love you” back into your relationship!’ 

Marvin was the sixth celebrity eliminated from the show, and Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson went onto be crowned King of the Jungle, just ahead of boxer Tony Bellew and politician Nigel Farage. 

The This Morning host joked that it was ‘so weird’ to be talking to someone else on behalf of her husband but that was the situation they were in at the time.

But Rochelle is unlikely to ever enter the jungle herself because she would ‘never’ want to be apart from Marvin for so long ever again. 

She even confessed that she has whipped out the clip of their emotional reunion in a bid to win an argument.

According to Rochelle, the moment has ‘set the barometer’ for just how much they love each other and she uses it to quash any disagreement.

At the time, the presenter snuck into the jungle and sat on the camp leader’s chair as she waited to surprise Marvin, who was completely shocked upon seeing her.

The pair adorably rushed into each others’ arms and locked themselves in a tight embrace, before sharing a kiss as they reunited after weeks apart.

Rochelle admitted: ‘I’m so ready for you to come home,’ before hilariously telling Marvin: ‘You really stink. Really stink.’
