Lana Del Rey has made her first official statement about her whirlwind marriage to Jeremy Dufrene.
At Thursday evening’s InStyle Imagemaker Awards, the 39-year-old music artist told a red carpet reporter about her union with the 49-year-old alligator swamp tour guide, ‘It’s good. We’re happy.’
She delivered the brief statement with a dreamy smile on her face after arriving in a tiered, white, sparkly Valentino gown and matching fur shawl.
Del Rey shocked fans when news broke that she had tied the knot with the Louisiana-based guide on September 26.
The songstress previously broke her silence about their romance in a comment left on an Instagram fan account.

On @LanaBoards, she wrote, ‘Unfortunately, a local couple from Houma won’t stop flying drones into our windows every morning and following us with a tracker.’
The performer, born Elizabeth Grant, continued, ‘But if Sara Michelle Champagne and Kruesch (a famous New Orleans paparazzi) could stop switching vehicles following the family – and stop following us around remote parts of the country and Photoshopping my wedding ring into a pearl – I know we would feel a lot safer.’
She added: ‘All that being said, Jeremy is the one and only. And amazing. And we’re very happy.’
Del Rey and Dufrene married in an intimate ceremony by the water in Des Allemands, Louisiana just one month after they went public with their romance, and five years after they first met.
Following the ceremony, Jeremy’s ex-fiancée revealed she was blindsided by his and Lana’s wedding.
She said she learned he had walked down the aisle when she was shown pictures the following morning.
Kelli Welsh, who was engaged to Dufrene for 12 years before they split in October 2023, told DailyMail.com she was in ‘shock’ at how quickly they said, ‘I do.’
‘I am in shock because we were engaged for 12 years, and he got married after one month,’ she shared.

She added: ‘But I am happy for him. He is a very protective, hardworking, manly man. He needed to get out of his comfort zone. He was used to bayou life and being out on the swamp. He is deserving of this blessing.’
Welsh and Dufrene started dating as teenagers when she was 16 and he was 19, but they broke up after a year.
He went on to marry his first wife Gina, with whom he shares three children — two sons and a daughter.
Within a year of the marriage ending, he rekindled with Welsh.
