Does Alice Eve take the lead from her dear Buddy? Actress spotted taking her beloved pet pooch for a walk in London as scientists claim dogs behave in similar ways to their owners

They say dogs look like their owners – now scientists believe they behave in similar ways too.

And that might not be the best news for actress Alice Eve, who has admitted her beloved pet Buddy can be a little flatulent!

The Oxford-educated star, daughter of actors Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan, was spotted taking her pooch for a walk in London last week, with a pink umbrella as protection against the inclement weather.

A new study by researchers at the Max Planck Institute of Geoathropology in Germany suggests a dog’s manner comes to match its owner’s.

They say they found ‘evidence for the idea that owners choose dogs that look like themselves, and that dogs and owners become more similar over time in terms of their personality.’

In a 2019 interview, Eve, now 42, said Buddy helped her relax, saying: ‘He is here with me now, farting away. I love to walk him [and] he likes the coffee shop where they give him biscuits.

‘I miss him when I’m away for work. It’s difficult.’
