He was always the picture of concentration on the tennis courts but since retiring from competitive sport, Sir Andy Murray has approach his life with his deadpan humour.
The 37-year-old Scot got into the Hallowe’en spirit yesterday by dressing up as a grumpy clown.
His faced painted white, he donned a rainbow-coloured wig, a red nose plus a yellow and red polka dot top with wide-at-the-waist green trousers completing the look.
The father-of-four, whose offspring are all under the age of 10, posted pictures of his fancy dress outfit on social media.
Looking less than amused the photos on X came with the words: ‘Hope you are all enjoying Halloween as much as me.’

His fans were having a hoot with the post pointing out the colour combination would have seen him barred from Wimbledon.
And his mother Judy replied: ‘This is what happens when you have too much time on your hands.’
The two-time Wimbledon champion retired from competitive tennis at the summer Olympics in Paris.
Since then he has spent time on golf courses, posting an occasional update on his life online.
In August he had his followers in stitches with an image in which he looked straight at the camera donning a facial mask, saying: ‘I knew retirement was going to hit me hard.’
