Richard Madeley left Good Morning Britain’s viewers stunned on Tuesday as he very nearly called Andi Peters a very rude word.
The shock moment came as the broadcaster, 63, was about to link to the roving reporter, 53, following a segment about the return of Barney the Dinosaur to screens after 14 years.
Richard attempted to make a humorous dig at Andi’s age as he referred to his co-star as a ‘dinosaur’, however, he suffered an unfortunate slip of the tongue and very nearly uttered an X-rated word.
Addressing the camera, he said: ‘Speaking about dinosaurs, here’s Andi Pen-‘ before catching himself and correcting his words to Andi Peters.
The awkward moment wasn’t missed by his co-star Susanna Reid as she briefly pulled a very shocked face before composing herself as the camera cut to Andi in Singapore.

Andi himself made light of the situation as he told Susanna: ‘Your face was as shocked as mine was!’ before going on to introduce the day’s competition.
Viewers at home also picked up on the epic blunder as they took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their comments.
‘Did Richard just say Andi Pe**s?!’
‘It was the look on Susanna’s face!’
‘Gave me a giggle, poor Andi!’
This isn’t the only time Andi has been at the centre of chaos on ITV of late.
Earlier this month, the presenter couldn’t contain his laughter after looking into the wrong camera during a competition segment on Lorraine.
Andi was in stitches after making the gaffe and struggled to regain his composure.

The morning television host was presenting a competition opportunity for viewers when he started talking to the wrong camera.
In a panic, he said: ‘There’s a lot of cameras in the studios, sometimes it’s confusing!’.
He then tried to introduce a map before admitting that he’d got mixed up and was presenting the graphic later on in the show.

Barely containing himself he said: ‘There’s a lot of maps, there’s a lot of cameras, there’s a lot of voices in my head, there’s so much going on.’
And his laughter proved infectious as host Christine Lampard, 45, was also in hysterics at the mistake.
Good Morning Britain continues weekdays from 6am on ITV.
