One of the NFL’s top Super Bowl contenders has landed a former All-Pro.
The Rams are sending cornerback Tre’Davious White to the Ravens in a cost-cutting move for Los Angeles that Baltimore hopes can bolster the team’s battered secondary. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero was the first to report the deal.
White is being traded to Baltimore (6-3) along with a seventh-round pick in exchange for another seventh rounder, according to multiple reports.
He will likely be behind starters Nate Wiggins and Brandon Stephens on the Ravens’ depth chart as Baltimore has battled several injuries in the secondary this season.
Cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis is listed as ‘questionable’ for Thursday’s game against visiting Cincinnati due to a hamstring issue.

Previously cornerbacks TJ Tampa (ankle), Christian Matthew (undisclosed) and Trayvon Mullen (shoulder) were placed on injured reserve.
Previously the Ravens acquired receiver Diontae Johnson and a sixth-round draft pick from the Carolina Panthers in exchange for a fifth-round pick.
White started the Rams’ first four games, but has been inactive for the past three after fellow free-agent signee Darious Williams returned from injured reserve.
Rams coach Sean McVay recently indicated 4-4 LA didn’t envision White as an every-down player when they signed him, likely mindful of his lengthy injury rehabilitations after tearing a knee ligament in late 2021 and then tearing his Achilles tendon in 2023.
‘It just hasn’t gone as what I think any of us would have liked up to this point,’ McVay said. ‘In fairness to him, he was playing a lot more snaps than we anticipated because of all the injuries that we had at that corner spot in particular.’
White was behind several defensive backs on McVay’s depth chart, including starter Cobie Durant, veteran Ahkello Witherspoon and undrafted rookie Josh Wallace.
‘He’s been such a pro about the way he’s handled it,’ McVay said.
‘Obviously not an ideal situation for him, the way that he’s practiced, the way that he’s been a pro in every sense of the word when he hasn’t been active for the past three weeks.’
