Paul Rudd surprised voters doing their civic duty on Election Day as he showed up to hand out water to Pennsylvania students waiting in long lines to cast their ballots.
The 55-year-old Clueless actor showed up at universities in the state, including Villanova. He’s one of various celebrities who have publicly gotten involved in the 2024 presidential election.
At Temple University in Philadelphia, MSNBC reporter Jacob Soboroff eyed the Ant-Man star and conducted an impromptu interview.
‘I just wanted to give people water,’ Rudd said about what motivated him to pop up on the North Philly campus.
‘They’re waiting in line for a long time, and it’s a wonderful thing that all these young people are out voting,’ he explained.

AKSM Media Senior White House Producer Ryan Hartnett wrote on X, ‘When I asked Rudd why he came to Villanova today he said, “Because it’s a lot of people waiting in line for a long time to vote and some of them might be thirsty so we brought a bunch of water.”’
And the Hollywood fixture said that voters who had waited two hours were ‘impressive.’
He added, ‘We’ve been doing lots of stuff today here in Pennsylvania. We wanted to come out and tell these students they’re doing really great things.’
When asked how he feels about the election, in which Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump are facing off, he playfully replied: ‘I feel good about handing out some waters!’
It’s not the first time the silver screen heartthrob has demonstrated altruism.
On Election Day in 2020, he handed out cookies to voters waiting in the rain in Brooklyn.
While Rudd didn’t explicitly state who he is voting for, he has been known as a Democrat supporter.
