Larry Emdur is set to expand his career into a shock new role, almost three months after winning the coveted Gold Logie award.
The veteran TV presenter, 59, took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal he is trying his hand at stand-up comedy.
He shared a photo to Instagram of him sitting on a couch onstage at The Comedy Store in Sydney as he performed.
The Channel Seven star revealed in the comments his close friend Osher Günsberg had convinced him to take part in an all-star show, in which celebrities revealed their wildest stories.
‘I turn 60 next month so I’m racing to tick a few things off my pre-60 bucket list. I’ve always thought one of the scariest places on earth would be on stage at The Comedy Store,’ Larry began.
‘Last night with a tummy full of butterflies I jumped up and had a crack. Thanks Osher for having me on Story Club. It was great fun (well for me anyway).’
Other celebrities to perform at the event included Günsberg and The Ronnie Johns Half Hour star Jordan Raskopoulous.
Many of Larry’s celebrity friends quickly took to the comment section to congratulate him on the milestone achievement.

‘Sir, you were all time. You had them in tears of laughter and emotion, and were masterfully able to weave in some excellent d**k jokes,’ Osher Günsberg wrote.
Meanwhile, another famous comedian revealed he had booked Larry as his opening act.
‘Yes! And now you’re opening for me at The Enmore! It’s all happening,’ added comedian Monty Franklin.
In August, Larry secured his first ever Logie Awards when he took home the Gold at the 2024 ceremony at the Star in Sydney.

The TV star has been a recognisable face on Aussie screens since the age of 19, but had never before secured a win at the prestigious awards ceremony.
In a milestone victory, Larry was crowned as the most popular presenter as he took home the Bert Newton Award in his first ever Logies win.
Taking the stage at the Logies ceremony, The Morning Show host had the crowd roaring, making light of the number of times his programs have been axed over the years and his wide range of questionable hosting gigs.
