NFL mascot goes viral for outrageous touchdown pass in half time game against kids

Halftime shows provide fun entertainment for people looking for some action that isn’t the game itself. One person inside a mascot costume decided to take their chance at glory.

At halftime of Sunday Night Football between the Indianapolis Colts and the Minnesota Vikings, various mascots were playing football against children.

Minnesota’s mascot, Viktor the Viking, was captured on video completing a near-perfect strike to the Colts’ mascot – Blue – in the end zone.

The video went viral – garnering over a million views since being posted on Wednesday night.

The video was captioned, ‘I can’t stop thinking about this throw from @ViktorTheViking… Rolling left, turns the hips, hit as he throws, but somehow perfectly placed. Not to mention @Blue with the unreal catch.’

The rest of social media followed suit, posting their reactions to the spectacular play.

‘NFL Mascots would be a 6.5 point favorite against Nebraska at a neutral sight [sic],’ wrote one user.

‘Cleaner play design than anything [Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Shane] Waldron has come up with,’ said a division rival.

Another joked, ‘Vikings had a legit QB1 this whole time and wasted a pick on [JJ] McCarthy smh.’

‘If Patrick Mahomes did this, ESPN wouldn’t shut up about it for a month,’ another user said.

Even Viktor the Viking got in on the action, mocking NFL players’ interview responses.: ‘Sometimes you just gotta put the ball up and trust your guys. We made some good plays but we’ve got a lot to work on and we’re already studying the tape and practicing for next year.’
