Triple M unveil the big names they’re rolling out in Melbourne in order to beat Kyle and Jackie O

Triple M Melbourne has announced its new breakfast show lineup for 2025.

Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) revealed that a panel of four ‘all-stars’ will co-host the breakfast radio slot next year.

Mick Molloy will be headline the program alongside Nick Riewoldt, Titus O’Reily and returning host Rosie Walton — with the show named Mick in the Morning with Roo, Titus & Rosie.

The new lineup are set to make their debut on Monday, January 20, as this year’s co-hosts Wil Anderson and Dale ‘Daisy’ Thomas depart.

‘I’m excited to be back behind the mic in my hometown, talking about all things Melbourne, with some of my favourite people every morning,’ Molloy said in a statement.

‘There’s a fair chance that the Tigers may come up from time to time; what could possibly go wrong?’

Riewoldt added: ‘After two rewarding years in Houston, Texas with Cath’s family, I’m excited to be returning home to Melbourne joining Mick and the Triple M Breakfast team back where it all started for me on radio.

‘Triple M is a vibrant part of Melbourne’s heartbeat, celebrating the city’s spirit, its music, and its people. To be bringing the sounds and stories of Melbourne to life every day through our listeners is a privilege I don’t take for granted.’

Meanwhile, SCA revealed an announcement regarding Triple M Sydney Breakfast will be made soon.

The new group of co-hosts is set to shake up the currently radio market in Melbourne as the Kyle & Jackie O show’s ratings continue their slow burn.

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s move to Melbourne is still struggling to crack the top slot, unlike their stellar ratings in Sydney.

The radio duo hold just 5.2 per cent share while attracting 420,000 listeners each week in the Victorian capital, according to the last GfK Radio Ratings from October.

Triple M Breakfast with Rosie, Wil and Daisy narrowly beat the Kyle & Jackie O show in October by 0.2 per cent, after previously slipping behind the shock jocks.

In Melbourne, 3AW continues to dominate the at 14.9 per cent overall while Smoothfm is second at 11 per cent, followed by Gold at 10 per cent, while Nova dropped a massive 1.2 per cent down to a 7.4 per cent market share overall.

However, Nova’s Jase and Lauren breakfast show is still massively ahead of Kyle and Jackie O in Melbourne with a 9.6 per cent market share.

But Fox FM’s Fifi, Fev and Nick emerged on top this survey, coming in as the number one FM Breakfast show at 10 per cent.

On April 29, Kyle and Jackie O took their breakfast radio show to Melbourne in a huge multimillion-dollar expansion deal.

The move triggered the axing of Jason ‘Jase’ Hawkins and Lauren Phillips’ breakfast show, prompting their move to Nova.
