Black Friday is a major sales event that typically marks the start of the Christmas shopping season.
It falls on the Friday after Thanksgiving, a US national holiday that’s held on the fourth Thursday of every November.

One of the busiest shopping days of the year is fast approaching, with Aussie brands and retailers offering major discounts on tens of thousands of popular items.
The sales often run for several days – or even weeks – leading up to Black Friday itself and typically wrap up on the following Monday, known as ‘Cyber Monday’ when shoppers can grab last-minute deals online.
Major retailers will be holding Black Friday sales, with discounts varying.
The deals are available at physical stores and online.
However, some retailers and brands may offer exclusive deals on its website so it pays to keep an eye on bargains.

Experts from consumer watchdog group CHOICE shared the warning signs to look out for, including unusual URLs for shopping pages claiming to be well-established brands, exceptionally large discounts on almost all advertised items, poor formatting and spelling or missing information.
