Stephen A. Smith walks off ESPN set after Shannon Sharpe ‘shower’ joke to Molly Qerim on First Take

Shannon Sharpe forced Stephen A. Smith to walk off set after appearing to make a lewd joke to co-host Molly Qerim on ESPN’s First Take.

The former NFL star found himself in hot water earlier this season, after his Instagram account inadvertently began live streaming while he was having sex off camera.

On Friday, Sharpe went viral once more after appearing to make reference to another sex act while on air.

ESPN’s First Take headed to Atlanta Clark University and the panel – which included Sharpe, Smith and former NFL quarterback Cam Newton – discussed the Baltimore Ravens.

Sharpe helped the Ravens win a Super Bowl in 2001, and the conversation turned to whether Lamar Jackson could lead this Baltimore team to glory.

‘Do you ever just get a feeling?’ Sharpe was asked by Qerim. ‘No I do not,’ he initially replied.

But then the 56-year-old added: ‘I do, then I take a shower.’

The comment prompted both Sharpe and Newton to begin laughing while Smith briefly walked off set.

‘I don’t know what just happened,’ Qerim responded, turning her back to Sharpe.

‘Alright, alright,’ Newton added, failing to suppress his laughter. ‘I’m letting you off the hook.’

The clip flooded social media and some fans were unhappy with Sharpe’s comment. ‘He needs to be more professional,’ one said. ‘He forgot he’s on ESPN,’ another added.
