The Block’s Mimi and Kristian Belperio have revealed how taking home over $1m during the show’s auctions on Sunday night has impacted their marriage.

Shock scenes during filming for the show saw Brad Baker confess to making ‘inappropriate’ comments towards Mimi over a drink at his home while his sleeping wife Kylie was within earshot.
‘Our Block experience has been a massive learning curve for both of us. We’ve learned a lot about each other,’ Mimi told 9Now this week.
‘It really solidified our marriage. We’ve grown a lot as individuals and as a couple.’
Kristian added their time on the show was a real test for their relationship and they were happy to report they passed with flying colours.
‘If we can get through this then we can get through anything. Everything we had to do to make it work was so worth it. So grateful for The Block,’ he said.

‘We are probably going to go on a proper honeymoon. I think Europe might be nice,’ he added.
The pair were left stunned on Sunday when their property sold for $2.93 million to billionaire Adrian Portelli.
It earned them an impressive $1.03million profit and made them instant millionaires.
The sale was a happy ending for the couple, whose time on the series had been marked by challenges due to the infamous flirtgate scandal.
