Alec Baldwin admits he ‘wasn’t very fun’ on new TLC reality show with wife Hilaria

Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin has teased fans with what they can expect from his upcoming TLC reality show – and it doesn’t sound overly thrilling.

Speaking at the New York City premiere of Spellbound, which he attended on Monday night with wife Hilaria, 40, and six of their seven children, Alec, 66, was asked how the TV series was going.

‘Coming out in January, I think,’ he told Associated Press, before he was asked how it’s been ‘being on camera not with lines,’ to which he replied: ‘I wasn’t very fun. Tell me what to do.’

Alec and Hilaria, who have been married since 2012, announced in June that they would be launching their own reality TV show that will give fans an inside glimpse into their family’s ‘ups and downs.’

The TLC show, simply titled The Baldwins, is set to premiere in 2025 and will follow the couple as they ‘open up their lives for the first time and bring everyone in to join in the non-stop love, laughter and drama,’ per a press release.

Alec and Hilaria are parents to seven children together: Carmen Gabriela, 10, Rafael Thomas, eight, Leonardo Angel Charles, seven, Romeo Alejandro David, six, Eduardo ‘Edu’ Pao Lucas, three, Maria Lucia Victoria, three, and Ilaria Catalina Irena, one.

The couple and their brood were spotted filming scenes at the end of July in the Hamptons, with the kids cooking on an outdoor grill and Alec teaching one of his kids how to cut vegetables safely.

It was reported that producers also kept the cameras rolling amid Alec’s trial following the Rust shooting incident.

According to The New York Post, showrunners had ‘factored the trial into their storylines and production,’ so viewers may get a glimpse into that side of the actor’s personal life as well.

The Beetlejuice star was on trial over the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was fatally shot while on set in October 2021.

However, the charges were sensationally thrown out on July 12 after a New Mexico judge ruled there had been ‘errors in handling’ over some of the evidence.

Alec wept in the Santa Fe courtroom when the news was announced and later took to Instagram to speak out.

‘There are too many people who have supported me to thank just now,’ he wrote.

‘To all of you, you will never know how much I appreciate your kindness toward my family.’

The extraordinary decision to quash his trial came after a day-long hearing without the jury present, over bullets that should have been in evidence.

Alec’s lawyers claimed they were ‘concealed’ from them and ‘buried’ in another case file.

The issue had upended the trial for Alec, who pleaded not guilty to two counts of involuntary manslaughter, as he was accused of negligence for accidentally firing a live round on the set.

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, 26, the armorer on the set of Rust, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter earlier this year.
