Fans joked Pedro Pascal was his younger sister’s ‘plus one’ at the premiere of his film Gladiator II on Wednesday night after she stole the show.

Transgender actress Lux, 32, supported her older brother, 49, at the screening held at London’s Leicester Square.

Wowing in a daring black cut out dress, Lux was soon flooded with compliments on social media with many wanting to know more about Pedro’s sister who revealed her transition in 2021.

Narcos and The Last Of Us star Pedro has admitted he’s fierecely protective of his sister, and he’s won praise from fans for his LGBTQ advocacy.

However, he admits that Lux is a ‘powerful’ personality and doesn’t need to rely on him for supporting, saying: ‘I need her more than she needs me.’

Lux, who is dating actor and musician José Antonio Raffo de la Jara, was born in 1992, is the youngest of her three siblings; sister Javiera and older brothers Nicolás and Pedro, who is 17 years older.

While Pedro was raised in mostly in Texas,  Lux was born in Orange County in June 1992.

Their mother, a child psychologist, and father , a fertility doctor, had fled Augusto Pinochet’s dictatorship in Chile in 1976, but moved back to Chile not long after Lux was born.

Before coming out as transgender, Lux first came out as gay and then identified as non-binary which eventually lead her to realise she was a woman.

‘I think if I would have been sufficiently sure of myself I would have transitioned in my adolescence. In school I trusted my classmates

‘Moving through the world as a woman is much more simple for me, but I still advocate for nonbinary identities to have a space in society,’ she explained.

‘Coming out of the closet as a gay man didn’t cost me anything, but deep down it wasn’t who I was. It was only a step on the staircase, but it wasn’t me,” she said. “It was an easy thing to say,” she said about her coming out, “but the truth was, ‘Oof, if you really knew what I feel…’

Lux said she’s eager to fight for the rights of the trans community.

‘We need trans activists who are good, smart, informed and who can be strong voices against transphobia, homophobia and racism,’ she said.
