Sophie Monk has revealed the surprising items she carries in her handbag.
In a behind-the-scenes video to promote Love Island Australia, which Sophie hosts, the former Bardot singer explained that she was partaking in the ‘what’s in my bag?’ social media trend to ‘get views’ for the dating show.
While the 44-year-old shared the contents of her $870 Marc Jacobs tote bag, she confessed to padding her derrière.
After pulling out a wig, and umbrella, and a small electric fan, Sophie came to the shapewear she uses to accentuate her behind.
The TV veteran pulled the two large plastic items from the bag and gasped.
‘Oh these! I haven’t worn them yet, but they’re meant to make your booty have a bit more of a…’
‘You know there’s some slow-mo shots of me and it’s from behind and I’ve noticed my bottom can look like an empty bag. So I thought I could fill them up with these things,’ she said as she held up the bottom pads.
Sophie then wondered how the shapewear would be positioned on her buttocks.

‘Which way would they go? Like that?’ she said while placing the two pads on her behind and shaking it.
‘Does that look hotter? Am I twerking?’ she asked as she shook her buttocks.
When the production crew did not respond, Sophie quipped that ‘the silence says it all. I intimidated you.’

Sophie believes it will resonate with audiences Down Under.
‘It’s just internationally that show’s done really well. And it’s good—it’s a good age group that tends to be into reality shows as well. It’s refreshing because everyone needs love,’ she added.
Sophie is particularly thrilled about the choice of former Channel Seven presenter Sam Armytage as the host, seeing it as a perfect match for the show.
‘Sam as a host is a perfect pairing too,’ she said with confidence. ‘I think it’s going to kill it.’
