Move aside nepo babies, it is now the pampered pets of the rich and famous who are making a name for themselves.

‘Nepo pets’ have acquired hundreds of thousands of dedicated followers on social media and big earning potential for their celebrity owners.

Among the Very Important Pooches on Instagram are Kylie Jenner’s Italian greyhounds Norman and Bambi who have amassed over 322,000 followers.

New research conducted by Slingo about famous pets has estimated that Ms Jenner’s pooch would earn £3,238 per sponsored post on the social media site.

The findings have revealed the celeb animals are raking it in, with some earning more from a single post than the average British person’s monthly salary of £2,334.

Leading the pack is American singer Megan Thee Stallion’s french bulldog Foe with a 532,000 Instagram following commanding almost £5500 per post.

Famous felines also featured in the findings with Miley Cyrus’s cat Shanti making the list with 71,500 followers. She could earn £843 per post.

Emily in Paris star Lily Collins has kept fans up to date with the latest adventures of her pug-terrier cross Redford since she adopted him in 2019.

His own Instagram account has an impressive 78,000 followers with his estimated earnings at £765 per post.

The research also revealed that Taylor Swift’s cat Olivia Benson is the most searched for celebrity pet with 52,700 annual Google searches, closely followed by Swiftie’s other moggy Benjamin Button with 31,500 searches.

It comes after a year of celebrities hitting the red carpets alongside their canine companions.
