Christian Wilkins, the son of entertainment royalty Richard Wilkins, is proving the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
On Tuesday, the 29-year-old took to Instagram to share the news he has been announced as the official red carpet host for the prestigious ARIA Awards.
Wilkins shared the exciting news with his 45,000 Instagram followers, posting a photo of him posing at a previous ceremony wearing a stunning sheer nude top.
He will be joined by co-hosts Bridget Hustwaite, Latifa Tee, and Rhys Nicholson, to lead Australian music’s biggest night.
Nova FM’s Tim Blackwell has meanwhile been named the host for the ceremony.
Some of Australia’s most recognised artists and presenters will be hitting the red carpet, including: Ava Max, Missy Higgins, CYRIL, 3%, Jessica Mauboy, Julian Hamilton from The Presets, and Amy Shark.

Kane Brown, Artemas, Budjerah, Concetta Caristo and Luka Muller are also set to make an appearance.
This year’s nominees feature some of Australia’s biggest stars and rising talents.
The new gig marks another step in Christian’s thriving career as a media personality, following in the footsteps of his father Richard who is a veteran entertainment reporter and Nine Network presenter.
Earlier this year, Richard lashed out at critics who branded his son a ‘nepo baby’ after the budding actor topped the list of Australia’s most privileged offspring.
The term ‘nepo baby’ refers to a person who benefits from their family connections or privileged background.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Richard said the label irritated him because his son shouldn’t be criticised for having parents who are merely trying to support their child.
‘I get a little irritated because you look at any law firm or panel beaters and they all embrace their families and give their kids jobs and help them with their lives,’ he vented.
Meanwhile, Christian, who recently moved to the US to pursue an acting career, laughed off the label and said his famous family name has made no difference to his success overseas.

‘I feel very grateful to be my dad’s son and if that’s what being a nepo baby is, then whatever,’ he told Daily Mail Australia.
‘And I can tell you this much though. The Wilkins name unfortunately doesn’t carry the same weight in Los Angeles, so I don’t necessarily feel like a nepo baby over there.’
The father-son duo have been working together on their new podcast called The Apple and The Tree.
Christian had the idea to collaborate with his father, hoping to blend their professional skills and family bond.
