NFL star Demarcus Robinson arrested on DUI just hours after playing for LA Rams this weekend

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was arrested in the early hours of Monday morning on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI.

According to TMZ, cops pulled Robinson over in Los Angeles when they clocked him driving over 100mph in his white Dodges sedan at around 5am in the morning.

The report says that Robinson, 30, refused to perform a field sobriety test on site and was then arrested.

He apparently showed signs of impairment and was later released to a responsible party, TMZ says.

Robinson played for the Rams in the loss to Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night, recording two receptions for 15 yards, scoring one touchdown as his team lost 37-20 at SoFi Stadium.

Robinson began his career in the NFL in 2016, when the Kansas City Chiefs drafted him in the fourth round.

He was in Kansas City until 2021, joining the Baltimore Ravens via the Las Vegas Raiders, where he only played in two preseason games.

After a year in Baltimore the Rams signed Robinson and in February this year, he re-signed with Sean McVay’s team on a one-year, $5million deal.

Earlier this season, he was linked with a return to the Chiefs and a reunion with Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes when Kansas City had a backlog of injuries in the wide receiver position.

NFL Insider Adam Schefter said Robinson would be an astute addition to the team pursuing its third straight Super Bowl title because of his familiarity with how Andy Reid’s teams work.

‘I think in a perfect world it’s somebody like Demarcus Robinson, [a player] that knows the system and knows the quarterback,’ Schefter said back in October.

The Chiefs eventually traded for DeAndre Hopkins of the Tennessee Titans instead.

The Rams, meanwhile, are third in the NFC West on a 5-6 record after losing to the Eagles on Sunday evening.

Next, they play against New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
