Members of Chelsea’s golden era came together for a one-off charity competition with club legends Petr Cech, John Terry, and Frank Lampard all featuring in the friendly kickaround on Tuesday.
Modern day legends enjoyed celebrated careers at Stamford Bridge with the club serial title winners throughout the early 2000s most notably during Jose Mourinho’s first reign at the club.
Plenty of stars that were regulars during Mourinho’s legendary first stint at the club have since moved into management positions but took time out of their busy schedules to rewind the years.
Joining Lampard, Terry and Cech in attendance was Ashley Cole, Joe Cole, Gary Cahill, Carlo Cudicini, Gianfranco Zola, Jody Morris, Jimmy Smith and others.
12 former Chelsea stars played in the charity competition with each player wearing the club’s current first-team strip with the match appearing to take place at the club’s Cobham training campus.
The throwback match captured the attention of Chelsea supporters who celebrated the occasion on social media with many fans hailing the yesteryear stars for still wearing the badge.

Former Blues midfielder Morris shared a picture of the teams on social media with the Chelsea stars gathering for a group photo that has left supporters purring.
Sharing the image on X, Morris said: ‘Decent kick around with these chaps’ alongside a blue heart emoji.
Supporters were quick to show their affection for the club icons online, with one fan reacting to the image, stating: ‘Awesome! Absolute Chelsea Legends right there.’
Another supporters similarly added: ‘Absolute geezers. Proper Chels left to right. Some team if all in your prime. An honour to have watched you all play in blue.’
Others joked that the featured players could still do a job for the Blues with one comment stating: ‘This team will win this years prem easy.’
