Arsenal footballer Kai Havertz is expecting his first child with wife wife Sophia Weber, four months after exchanging vows.
The German star, 25, who signed for the Gunners from bitter London rivals Chelsea in 2023, broke the news in an Instagram post on Thursday afternoon.
The couple both shared photos of themselves hugging as Sophie displayed her growing baby bump for the first time.
Kai lovingly placed his hands on her belly in the black and white snaps as Sophie called her pregnancy: ‘Our biggest blessing’.
The pair also shared a heartwarming photo of their golden retriever holding a baby hat in it’s mouth.
Kai and Sophie were inundated with well wishes from their friends including fellow footballers Ben White, Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard and Julian Brandt.

Kai and Sophie got married in July 2024 in a stunning ceremony after six years of dating.
The pair grew up in the same neighbourhood. While they were initially friends, they began a relationship in 2018.
After the ceremony, the couple took to Instagram where they shared some beautiful photographs from the ceremony with the caption, ‘18.07.24 – forever’.
Their wedding came after Kai announced his engagement last year following his £65million move to Arsenal from Chelsea.
It proved to be an eventful 12 months for the forward in north London, as he battled through heavy criticism, amid a slow start to life at his new club, to eventually become recognised as one of Mikel Arteta’s key players.
Havertz netted 14 goals in 51 matches in all competitions and provided seven assists. In an interview last year, he opened up on the impact the sport can have on those around him.
‘Football is our life.’ He said. ‘If you lose a game, of course you don’t have an easy life.

Sophie is a social media influencer and has over 530,000 followers on Instagram.
She previously shared photos taken on the couple’s wedding day where she looked stunning in a white strapless dress.
