Aldi fans are rushing in store to ‘stockpile’ a limited edition product they claim will make summer drinks by the pool, or sprinkler, even better.
A customer revealed she had bought Vok Cosmopolitan cocktail boxes in store recently and couldn’t get enough of it.
The 2L casks of ready-to-serve cocktails are available across Australian – excluding Queensland and South Australia as Aldi can’t sell alcohol there.
There’s 9.5 standard drinks in the cask – which isn’t to be confused with the humble Australian goon bag.
‘It’s fancy because you serve it in a glass and over ice. It even says that in the instructions,’ one fan said.
The Cosmopolitan rose to fame thanks to popular television show Sex and the City – which features the drink in many episodes.
And, according to Cosmopolitan lovers, the vodka-based pre-mix is a steal at $20.99; it is $8 more expensive at Dan Murphy’s.
It works out to be about $2.20 a drink – which is also much cheaper than buying it out.

The Vok bags have been at Aldi before – with one customer lamenting about missing the Pina Colada option.
Another admitted they did too, until they tried the Cosmopolitan.
‘I just got this and I love it,’ they said.
Others admitted they have started stockpiling the drinks too.
‘They are perfect for summer and always sell out fast so I got five,’ one woman said.
‘I am stocking up too, for Christmas and everything,’ said another.
Others said they like to pop the boxes in the freezer for a slushy summer cocktail.’
Aldi confirmed the box cocktail was in limited supply, after appearing in the October 16 Special Buys range.
The popular Pina Colada ($22.99) and Lime Mojito ($19.99) will be stocked on December 18 ‘in time for Christmas’ according to an Aldi spokesperson.
”We are delighted to see customers enjoying our ready to serve cocktail drinks which are perfect for entertaining family and friends as we head into summer,’ they added.
