Party time! NRL star Daly Cherry-Evans celebrates post his wedding in Manly – and plenty of familiar footy faces were in attendance at Hotel Steyne

  • Footy star Daly Cherry-Evans married his long time partner
  • Galaxy of NRL players were in attendance on Friday
  • Celebrations then continued at Hotel Steyne in Manly

There were footy stars in every direction on Friday when Sea Eagles captain Daly Cherry-Evans married his long term partner Vessa Rockliff.

Once the formalities were complete, a number of DCE’s teammates and friends kicked on – in Manly on Sydney’s northern beaches of course – at Hotel Steyne opposite the beach.

Those in attendance included 2011 premiership-winning teammate Kieran Foran and his wife Karina, Broncos recruit Ben Hunt, Jake and Tom Trbojevic with their respective fiancées, plus ex-Manly teammates Jamie Buhrer, Darcy Lussick and Justin Horo.

Daily Mail Australia understands KIIS FM radio star Cooper Johns was the MC, with one-time coach Des Hasler also flying in from the Gold Coast.

Melbourne Storm five-eighth Cameron Munster was another spotted letting his hair down, as was recently retired Manly centre Brad Parker.

Cherry-Evans and his now wife Vessa have three children – Navi, Harvie and Tully – as rumours continue to swirl about the halfback’s playing future.

The 34-year-old is about to enter his final deal in 2025 with the NRL club – but has proven to be one of the most durable players in the competition.

Whether he plays for Queensland in the 2025 State of Origin series is another matter.

The playmaker made his first grade debut in 2011, winning a title the same season.

He has gone onto win multiple interstate series with the Maroons and also represented Australia in 21 Tests.

While ultra consistent, Cherry-Evans has had his share of critics, including high-profile ex-teammates Anthony Watmough and Willie Mason.

In 2015, Cherry-Evans infamously backflipped on a multi-million dollar deal with the Gold Coast Titans.

He instead inked a ‘lifetime deal’ with the Sea Eagles, with the bombshell decision leaving footy fans divided.

Following intense criticism, Cherry-Evans apologised to the Titans and said he understood their fans had every right to be angry.

‘This probably doesn’t look very honourable, the actions I’ve taken, and I understand that,’ he said at the time.

‘But there’s only one thing that could’ve changed the honour of my word and that’s how important my family is to me.’
