- Tyson Fury will face Oleksandr Usyk in a heavyweight rematch on December 21
- His next opponent is already being lined up if he gains revenge on Usyk
- Fury has already fought the potential next opponent, who is currently retired
Tyson Fury is just over two weeks away from his huge heavyweight rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, but his potential next fight is already being lined up.
Fury was beaten by Usyk in May, but will get the chance to exact revenge on December 21 in Saudi Arabia.
The Usyk rematch will be Fury’s third straight bout in the Middle East, with Saudi adviser Turki Alalshikh heavily involved in organising the money-spinning contests.
And Alalshikh has now revealed a shock opponent that he wants to bring out of retirement to fight Fury if the Gypsy King beats Usyk later this month.
‘The result of Tyson vs. Usyk, a lot of people are waiting for them,’ Alalshikh told the Ariel x Ade Show.
‘One of them is Dubois. Another is Joshua. At the same time, there is a third person.

Saudi adviser Turki Alalshikh (pictured) is already eyeing a ‘dream’ next opponent for Fury if he wins
Alalshikh wants Fury to rematch retired icon Wladimir Klitschko, after the Gypsy King beat him to become unified world champion in 2015
‘I am dreaming of seeing this fight to give (Wladimir) Klitschko the chance to be the oldest heavyweight champion ever.
‘To give him the chance. This is perfect. Of course, he won’t fight Usyk if he wins because they’re two heroes from Ukraine will not fight each other. This is the dream.’
Fury famously dethroned the younger Klitschko brother back in November 2015, bringing an end to the Ukrainian’s almost decade-long reign as heavyweight champion.
Klitschko has only fought once since, when he was knocked out by Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium in April 2017.
He retired after that loss and has not been seen inside the ropes in over seven years.
But the chance to create history could appeal to the 48-year-old.
George Foreman currently holds the record of being the oldest heavyweight champion ever after beating Michael Moorer at the age of 45 back in 1994.
Klitschko would smash this mark if he beats Fury, should the Brit get the better of Usyk first.
The Ukrainian icon was interested in fighting IBF champion Daniel Dubois recently, but Mail Sport revealed last month that negotiations broke down in the wake of a 58-year-old Mike Tyson losing to YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.
Still, Alalshikh is keen to see Klitschko back in the ring again, and he could get his wish, with Fury potentially set to fight his old foe in 2025, a decade on from their first encounter.
