Gary O’Neil is now FAVOURITE to be sacked at 2/7 after Wolves’ defeat to West Ham in ‘El Sackico’ – as Julen Lopetegui goes second on 9/2 before ‘Big Six’ boss

Gary O’Neil knew that a win against West Ham on Monday night would be pivotal to his team’s hopes of climbing out of the relegation scuffle.

But Wolves suffered a 2-1 defeat and they remain in 19th place, four points from safety, with the pressure piling ever stronger on the Englishman.

Sky Bet now make him favourite to be sacked next, giving him odds of 2/7 to be shown the door before anyone else. 

Mail Sport understands the Wolves hierarchy have been actively looking at replacements since before the November international break and it is thought there were tentative discussions with Graham Potter, though they did not progress.

O’Neil replaces Julen Lopetegui as the favourite, with the Spaniard now going second-most likely with odds of 9/2 after steering his side to a precious victory at the London Stadium. 

Ange Postecoglou rounds off the top three, priced at 13/2 to go next after a torrid run of form which has seen Tottenham win just once in seven games.
