Tottenham may be over-confident, says Mauricio Pochettino

Mauricio Pochettino fears Tottenham may have become over-confident following their euphoric win over Real Madrid.

Spurs recorded an unforgettable win over the current Champions League holders at the start of November but have won just one Premier League game since – a slender 1-0 triumph over Crystal Palace, who were bottom of the table at the time.

And Pochettino has hinted that his players may have become too big for their boots in recent weeks, a potential factor in their worrying domestic form.

Mauricio Pochettino admits Tottenham’s win over Real Madrid may have made them cocky

When asked whether his team had become too cocky after the win over Real, the Argentine responded: ‘Today all is possible.

‘Because when you don’t win, all is possible. All is related.

‘The most important now is to help them to start to perform in the way we did against Madrid and Dortmund and in games like Liverpool when we were fantastic.’
