Welcome to Photo Spotlight. For our latest episode of the series, ANDY HOOPER soaked up the fancy dress, party atmosphere, and amidst it all the players striving for glory as the PFC World Championship returned to Alexandra Palace.
The biggest and best darts competition in the world makes its annual stint at the Ally Pally with the circuit’s best players targeting global glory by going head-to-head for the Sid Waddell Trophy.
Punters dressed in their best fancy dress flocked to London for the start of the competition with defending champion Luke Humphries kickstarting his journey as he bids to become only the fourth-ever person to retain the title.
Meanwhile, all eyes will be on teenage sensation Luke Littler as the 17-year-old returns to the stage that he arrived at one year ago as an unknown entity before booming into a household name.
An Ali G inspired Jack Whitehall was amongst the craziness of opening night as the beers flowed, placards were erected and the unbridled ecstasy of the darts world championship made it’s bow for another two months at the oche.
Our man Andy Hooper was in position at the Ally Pally to capture all the emotion from the brilliant sporting spectacle.
