Charlie Woods’ hilarious response after dad Tiger tells him he has to buy a drink for everyone after hole-in-one

Charlie Woods was sent crashing back down to earth on Sunday afternoon, after his dad Tiger reminded him about the consequences of hitting a hole-in-one.

The 15-year-old enjoyed an historic moment on the course during the final round of the PNC Championship when he holed out from the tee box for the first time in his career, sparking wild scenes.

Shortly after bear-hugging his dad and wallowing in his success, superstar dad Tiger dampened his mood, and a hilarious clip of the moment quickly went viral.

Just off the fourth green when Charlie had collected his ball from the hole, Tiger can be heard telling him: ‘You’re buying for everyone out here’.

In response, Charlie hits back: ‘I’m not buying, I’m broke…’ before Tiger adds: ‘You’re buying. He has to buy. That’s protocol for making a hole-in-one.’

Charlie defiantly repeats: ‘I’m broke’, before Tiger twists the knife with: ‘Round on you, bud.’

The clip had the Golf Channel commentary team in stitches in the booth, and it remains to be seen whether Charlie is made to follow through with the tradition.

In golf, it is customary for someone making a hole-in-one to have to buy the entire clubhouse a drink at the conclusion of their round.

Given Tiger has made a staggering $157million since turning pro in 1996, and his net worth sits at around $1.3billion, he is likely to help his son out should he find himself counting his cash at the bar.

The incredible moment on the course on Sunday came with the Woods pair tied for the lead on the final day of the PNC Championship.

Woods Sr had rushed back from a sixth back surgery in 10 years to make sure he was able to play alongside his son, and he will surely have been delighted he made the effort when Charlie’s hole-in-one hit the bottom of the cup.

It was a family affair for Tiger and Co on the course, as he teamed up with his son for the competition, and had his daughter Sam caddying for the second year in a row.
