Three months after Tyler Badie collapsed on the sidelines during the Denver Broncos’ game against the New York Jets, the star running back has been cleared to return to practice.
Badie’s first practice since suffering a gut-wrenching medical episode at MetLife Stadium on September 29 was Tuesday afternoon.
The former Missouri star returning to practice initiates the 21-day window for him to return to game action.
That three week window would cover Denver’s final two regular season games and a Wild Card matchup, which the Broncos are on the cusp of clinching.
Badie suffered the injury at the end of the first quarter after awkwardly falling to the turf.
After going to the sideline, Badie collapsed, with medical personnel tending to him and putting him on a stabilizer to transport him off the field.

Badie suffered a back and spine injury on September 29 that has kept him out of action since
Not much has been heard of Badie’s condition since, with his return in the same season as being designated with the spine and back injury a minor miracle.
Badie could return to the Broncos lineup as soon as Saturday, when they play the Bengals.
Tyler Badie scored his first NFL touchdown at the end of last season and had been thought to fill a need for the team coming into this year.
Those hopes had been put on hold since the injury. Now looking at a road Wild Card game where Denver will not be favored, likely against Buffalo or Pittsburgh, Badie coming back is needed more than ever.
Should the Broncos win one of their final two games, they would be playoff bound.
