Karl Stefanovic gets caught out on Christmas Day with HUGE gaffe

Karl Stefanovic was caught out on Christmas Day as he made a very unfortunate gaffe during the busy morning of celebrations.

His wife Jasmine took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday to give an insight into their hectic festivities with their daughter Harper, four.

She posted a photograph of a stressed-looking Karl trying to assemble a pink Barbie car for Harper as he was surrounded by loose parts and the instruction manual.

The Today Show host, 50, made a rookie error in only constructing the vehicle on the morning of Christmas Day, no doubt leaving Harper in suspense to play with it.

In an accompanying caption, Jasmine poked fun at his gaffe as she penned: ‘Don’t think your plan of doing it Christmas morning was very wise.’

It is not the first time this Christmas that the couple have had some struggles with assembling Barbie-themed presents.

Earlier in the day, Jasmine shared a photograph which showed her trying to assemble a ‘2,000 piece’ Barbie dreamhouse for Harper.

Jasmine sat on the floor next to the unassembled pieces with a frustrated look on her face as she worked hard to try to put the play set together.

She hilariously captioned the picture: ‘How fun’s Christmas thanks. Barbie dreamhouse comes in 2000 pieces.’

The Barbie dreamhouse set actually comes with about 75 pieces to assemble and usually takes between 45 minutes to an hour to put together.

Their Christmas celebrations come just days after the family had a huge scare when Harper went missing for an hour while they holidayed in Noosa.

Police were called to their Noosa holiday home about 4.20pm on December 16 when Harper vanished from their sprawling holiday home, which overlooks the beach.

A panicked Karl, 50, and his wife Jasmine, 40, frantically scoured the area as a Queensland Police helicopter hovered above looking for Harper.

Neighbours also joined the search and checked nearby streets and bush trails, while Karl’s older daughter Willow, 19, and her boyfriend Genaro Abdala Garcia checked the beach.

Thankfully, Harper was found an hour later ‘curled up asleep underneath a chair where no one could possibly have hidden’ at their holiday home, Karl told the Daily Telegraph.

Willow has returned to Australia to spend the Christmas holidays with her family after moving to the UK to study at the London College of Fashion.

Karl shares Willow and his two other older children Jackson, 24, and River, 17, with his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn.
