An 11-year-old boy is missing after being swept under the water while swimming at a New South Wales beach on Wednesday.
The boy was swimming with family in shallow waters at Lighthouse Beach, in Port Macquarie, at 1.30pm when he got caught in a rip and disappeared.
No one has seen him since, police said.

A 17-year-old boy also got stuck in the rip but was able to make it back to shore.
Emergency services are searching for the boy with the help of the Westpac Rescue helicopter, Surf Lifesaving Australia, Water Police, and Marine Rescue.
