Bill Belichick has not even been North Carolina’s head football coach for a month and he’s already trying to be pulled back to the NFL, including by Tom Brady’s Las Vegas Raiders.
Las Vegas fired Antonio Pierce on Tuesday from its helm after a 4-13 season, with reports stating Brady has already talked to Belichick in recent weeks.
Belichick’s buyout with the Tar Heels is set at $10million, with it dropping dramatically to $1million in June.
Either way, that amount would be a fraction of what NFL teams are will to pay to acquire the legendary head coach, per NFL Network.
Belichick made the shock move to the college ranks for the first time last month and has already ben recruiting to build his first Tar Heels’ roster from the transfer portal and high school ranks.
Brady is a minority owner of the Raiders, with controlling owner Mark Davis set to name the legendary quarterback to his committee to find the team’s next leader.
Multiple teams have made the attempt to lure Bill Belichick away from UNC and back to the NFL
Tom Brady will have a say in who the next Raiders head coach will be as a minority owner
More to come.
