Annerley shooting: Brisbane police officer shot after responding to an incident at a home

Police have declared a crime scene at Annerley following an incident this morning where a police officer and a man have been shot.

Officers were initially called to a Tamar Street address around 9:13am following reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, a physical altercation has occurred between a male constable and a man.

As a result of the altercation, both the officer and the man sustained gunshot wounds each.

Both have been transported to hospital for treatment.

The matter will be investigated by the Ethical Standards Command, with oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
