UFC legend Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne welcome new baby girl amid fears over raging Los Angeles fires

Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey and her husband, former UFC heavyweight Travis Browne, welcomed their new baby Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha on Thursday evening amid the wildfires that swept through Los Angeles County.

Residents in Southern California have evacuated over the past week due to the apocalyptic circumstances of the fires.

Rousey, who trains out of Glendale in LA County, posted about giving birth amid the calamity.

While their daughter’s birth location is unclear, Rousey’s caption suggests that she and her family are still near the area.

‘Our little girl came into this world during a windstorm into a city on fire, so grateful she made it safe and sound,’ she wrote.

The post included a video of Rousey introducing her eldest, La’akea, to her younger sister, a selfie with her newborn, and a photo of their family with their latest addition.

Rousey and Browne married in August 2017 in the former UFC heavyweight’s native Hawaii. They then welcomed La’akea in September 2021.

In addition to La’akea and Liko’ula, Rousey plays stepmother to two of Browne’s sons from his previous marriage.

Rousey first announced her pregnancy in July, showing her baby bump during a panel discussion at the San Diego Comic-Con.

Rowdy won the Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight title in her fifth fight and fifth straight win as a professional MMA fighter. She kept the title up until the UFC brought out the promotion.

Upon acquiring the entire Strikeforce roster, Dana White crowned Rousey the UFC women’s bantamweight queen—a title she successfully defended six times as her stardom took off to unprecedented heights.

She went 12-0 in MMA before losing to Holly Holm via second-round KO with a head kick in 2015.

Over one year later, she was gifted a title fight in her UFC return before losing to Amanda Nunes in 48 seconds without landing a significant strike.

Following her legendary MMA career, Rousey had a successful five-year run with WWE that ended in 2023.
