The Bachelorette starlet was praised for her down-to-earth humour and comedic outbursts while on Channel Ten’s hit dating show this year.
But Sophie Monk failed to secure a laugh when presenting the Best Performance in a Television Comedy award at the AACTAs on Wednesday.
The 37-year-old appeared baffled when her co-host, Ali’s Wedding star Osamah Sami, took a dig at diversity in the industry.

Sophie’s face looked emotionless as she turned to the actor to say: ‘I don’t know what diversity means, I’m guessing…’
In an attempt to explain his jab, the stand-up comedian explained: ‘Sophie, it’s a little bright in here. It’s not the lights, it’s just a lot of white people.’

He continued, putting on a comedic voice for theatrical purposes: ‘Somewhere someone is watching through their television right now going, “Wow, I just paid bugger me dead, I just paid six grand for this television and it shows no colour.”‘
Sophie, still playing confused by his rant, asked: ‘Is that a bit racist?’
