Harry Winks says Tottenham have been beating themselves up after their struggles in the title race and believes the reason is a lack of confidence.
Since seeing off Real Madrid in the Champions League at Wembley, Spurs have won only one of their five Premier League outings – a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace.
Winks starred in Tottenham’s final group game in Europe’s elite competition as they beat APOEL Nicosia 3-0 then was asked about their struggles in the top flight.

‘We’ve had a few tough results, in games that we expected to win ourselves,’ Winks said.
‘When things don’t go so well, we beat ourselves up.
‘It’s good to get back to winning ways, to get that winning feeling back and get the confidence back in the group.’
On the difference between the Premier League and Champions League, Winks said: ‘They’re both top, top quality players.
‘And when you make mistakes, you get punished.
‘But I think Champions League nights they just have a different sort of feel to them, anything can happen really, the quality of player is always tough, regardless.’
