The moment a grandmother woke up to find a man with his face hidden slashing at her house with a chainsaw has been caught on video.
The horrifying footage was captured at the front door of the house in Perth just before 6am on Thursday, according to Seven News.
Bev Miller was sleeping with her six-year-old granddaughter when she was shocked out of her slumber by the man, who was trying to force his way through the front door.

‘I screamed through the window, which was a bit stupid, and he came at me with the chainsaw,’ Ms Miller said.
She said the chainsaw missed slashing her face by just centimetres, and her granddaughter was woken up by her screaming.
‘He smashed one side and I ran inside and closed the doors and everything.’
The shocking footage shows the man approaching the house with his face obscured by a shirt and beanie holding the chainsaw.

Police are investigating the incident, and are yet to find the man responsible for the attack.
