A fight between two Dartford commuters broke out yesterday morning, as a fellow traveller filmed the argument, which began with an intrusion of space and quickly turned ‘racist’.
Video posted on the Dartford Rail Travellers Association Facebook page shows the moment the altercation occurred after a young woman seems to have put her feet on the seat of the man sitting across from her.
The video doesn’t show the start of the argument but a witness said: ‘It started because she had her feet on his chair as he went over to sit down.’
‘You’re an idiot,’ she tells the man sitting just feet away from her. ‘I’ll f***king slap you.’
The man starts talking back but his voice is muffled over the woman’s – both become inaudible for a few seconds as they talk over each other in obvious disagreement.
Clearly not wanting to solve the problem – or beyond annoyed that her leg has been touched – the woman goes at the man for reasons that enter the realm of unnecessary.
‘That’s why you’re not married, you idiot,’ she says. And then after finding out he is indeed married, ‘She’s cheating on you. She’s using you for your money.’
The woman made this latter claim after learning that the man’s wife is Nigerian and said she understood Nigerian women because she is one.

The argument on the train is said to have started because the woman, pictured, had her feet on a seat that a male passenger wanted
The passenger who took the video said the incident happened on the 8.50am Southeastern train travelling from Dartford to London.
They said: ‘She took her feet off of the chair and then brushed them against his suit – he wasn’t happy anyway and this pushed him overboard.
‘The man then put his feet back on hers and that’s when she kicked off.’
The onlooker decided to switch on their camera after the woman threatened to slap the man, the fight soon escalating to the point where the woman says she’ll kick him in the groin.

They said: ‘The argument then continued with them making ridiculous comments at one another.’
It’s true. Nearing the end of the video, the woman tells the man, ‘my feet is literally by your balls, I’m literally grabbing you by your balls’.
The woman then goes to her phone, appearing to write a Facebook post, saying out loud ‘So I get on the train and this white idiot..’
‘So you’re racist as well now?’ the man says, taking out his own phone.
Although heated, the onlooker said: ‘It seemed to cool off rather quickly after they both had their phones out. By the end of their journey they were laughing with each other and talking about his wife’s heritage.’
A spokesperson for Southeastern confirmed they had not received any reports of the incident.
