Western Bulldogs defender Rory Lobb has found himself in the spotlight after debuting what has to be the AFL’s worst haircut.

Lobb, 32, debuted an eye-catching electric-blue dye job for his club’s 100-year anniversary against Collingwood at the MCG in round two.

Now the towering footy star has made that look tame by revealing he’s had a bright-red lobster dyed on his newly bleached locks.

‘Lobster’ is a play on words about his surname.

‘Over to you @dandoesfooty,’ said Lobb on social media, referring to the fact the new hairstyle comes after former footballer Daniel Gorringe dyed his hair blue because he lost a bet when his former side Carlton were beaten by the Dogs last Friday night.

Gorringe said on social media that he would copy whatever hair colour Lobb went with next.

However, after seeing Lobb’s daring new fashion statement, Gorringe is going back on his word.

‘Rory, we had a good thing,’ said Gorringe.

‘We were the only two guys in the league who had blue hair…’

‘Rory, you’ve got a lobster on your head now. This guy’s the Dennis Rodman of the AFL….

‘I didn’t think you were going to get a crustacean on your head, Rory. I’m not getting a lobster on my head. I draw the line at red lobsters. Look at me, I look like a smurf.’

Footy fans haven’t held back with their reactions, either.

‘Mid life crisis,’ wrote one follower.

‘April foods surely,’ said another.

Surprisingly, many of Lobb’s followers are on board with the bold new look.

‘This might be better than out 2016 Grand Final win,’ replied one.

‘This is gold,’ said another.

‘If you don’t have this on game day we bloody riot,’ posted a third.

Lobb and his fellow Bulldogs are sitting eighth on the ladder after their inspiring, come-from-behind win over a desperate Blues outfit at the MCG.
