Bindi Irwin’s daughter Grace has received her first ever haircut. 

The 26-year-old mum shared the adorable moment in a video vlog with her 5.7million Instagram followers on Tuesday. 

Bindi, the daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, began her video in the car as she prepared her three-year-old for the new experience. 

‘Today is a very exciting day! What are we doing today?’ she asked Grace, who was strapped into her car seat and holding onto her baby doll. 

‘Haircut!’ Grace responded.

Grace had her hair cut by a hairdresser called Alyssa, a friend of the Irwin family who operates a private hair salon at Sunshine Beach in Noosa Heads.

Bindi chatted to Grace throughout her appointment and made her daughter feel comfortable with every little step 

Bindi asked her which princess Alyssa could be. 

‘Cinderella,’ Grace replied matter-of-factly. 

‘I love that idea,’ Bindi enthused. 

‘Cinderella is going to give you a haircut.’

Bindi chatted to Grace throughout her appointment and made her daughter feel comfortable with every little step. 

‘Here we are, getting the hair brushed,’ she narrated over the video. 

‘Does it feel like it’s raining?’ It’s like the little misters that we give to the animals,’ she explained while Alyssa wet Grace’s hair with a spray bottle.

‘See! You didn’t cut all the hair,’ she exclaimed as the scissors cut through the first bits.

‘No, just a tiny bit,’ her mum reassured her. 

‘Not like daddy’s hair.’ 

Grace was very interested in watching the locks fall from her head and onto the floor. 

‘Cheeky hair,’ she said adorably.  

‘I didn’t even feel it! Look at all the hairs Because she was going snip snip snip,’ she added, making a cutting motion with her fingers.

Picking up the front pieces, Grace said: ‘Now all the curls are out of my hair.’

Bindi and her husband Chandler Powell will celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary in May.
