Jonah Hill shows off slimmed-down physique while boxing

His career exploded thanks to his role as lovable buffoon Seth in the film Superbad back in 2007.

But Jonah Hill couldn’t look more different these days, and dedicates quite a bit of time to making sure he maintains his new slim physique, as demonstrated as he packed a punch in a Manhattan boxing gym on Friday.

The War Dogs star, 33, worked up a sweat as he ducked and dived in a bid to keep the pounds off.

For the athletic endeavor, the Oscar-nominated actor opted for a simple black T-shirt and shorts combination.

Bright yellow gloves and orange socks added a bit of pizzazz, while some classic sneakers and a plain black beanie rounded out the sporty look.

Jonah seemed to be focused as he batted at a trainer before taking a cool sip of water from a plastic bottle.

Jonah has been hard at work recently filming Netflix’s Maniac, which also stars Sonoya Mizuno and Emma Stone, and is scheduled for release in 2018.

The dark comedy is based on the 2014 Norwegian series of the same name, about a hero who is swept up in dozens of fantastical adventures, which are all imagined from the confines of his psychiatric ward.

Jonah, who has been nominated for Oscars for his memorable performances in 2011’s Moneyball and 2013’s The Wolf of Wall Street, has a history of gaining and losing weight for roles.

For his role as baseball whiz kid Peter Brand (based off now-Cleveland Browns executive Paul DePodesta) in the Brad Pitt baseball flick, he shed 40 pounds thanks to a combination of healthier eating and help from the experts.

‘It was just mostly diet,’ he told ABC News. ‘I wish there was some crazy thing that I did, like a pill or a genie or something.’

Jonah added : ‘I went to see a nutritionist, and he told me what to eat to change my habits and stuff.’
