Several Florida State sports alums offered their condolences following the terrifying campus shooting that left two dead and six injured on Thursday.

The shooting, which occurred around midday, saw a gunman fire off 15 rounds, witness McKenzie Heeter told NBC News.

Among the six injured was suspect Phoenix Ikner, the stepson of a local sheriff’s deputy who has since been taken into police custody.

And after the tragic events, the likes of golfer Brooks Koepka, NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Jared Verse and Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac took to social media to offer their well-wishes.

‘My heart is broken reading the news,’ Koepka wrote with a broken-heart emoji. ‘Praying hard for my whole FSU family and Tallahassee. ‘

‘It’s hard to find the right words in moments like this… but my heart is with everyone in Tallahassee,’ Verse said. ‘I’m holding space for you in my thoughts and praying for comfort, strength, and safety for each of you.

Students also shared videos of themselves hiding beneath desks, while heavily armed law enforcement with long guns were seen on campus.
