New York Knicks star Josh Hart has given a mischeivous invite to Hollywood star Anne Hathaway and USA Olympic hero Suni Lee before his team’s playoff run begins Saturday night.

The Knicks host Detroit Pistons at Madison Square Garden in New York to begin their postseason and ahead of the game, Hart joined teammate Jalen Brunson on the ‘Roommmates Show’ to preview the postseason.

They were discussing the impressive recent form of their teammate OG Anunoby when the duo broke out into laughter and suggested he had been playing better to impress some of the courtside guests the Knicks have had lately.

‘We need Suni (Lee) or Anne Hathaway at every game during this playoff run,’ Hart joked.

On April 6, the 22-year-old Lee sat courtside and Anunoby scored 32 points as the Knicks beat the Suns 112-98 at MSG.

It prompted a viral video where fans suggested Anunoby, 27, brought his A-game to the table when he saw Lee was courtside.

And back in November, Anunoby nearly collided with Hathaway while she was at the Chicago Bulls game at MSG with her son.

Fortunately, the actress saw the funny side and posted the clip onto her Instagram.

‘I almost got crashed into last night! I always wanted that to happen. Thanks OG!’ she wrote. The Knicks man replied: ‘You’re welcome’.

After the laughter subsided, Brunson paid tribute to how the London-born Anunoby has grown as the season has gone on and backed him to play a pivotal role in their shot at glory.

‘What I’ve seen is a person who’s coming in everyday, doing his job, working on his game,’ Brunson said.

‘When we needed it most, he’s just stepped up. He’s obviously a quiet guy, he’s a soft spoken guy, but when he goes out there he’s a different person – you can see by the way he plays.

‘I don’t think any of us up here were surprised (by how he has improved). It’s just the timing of what he did, when he did it was just perfect for us and our team.’

As for whether two-time Olympic gold medalist Lee or Hathaway will make it? Hathaway was in New York earlier this week for a fashion show while Lee lives in the Big Apple, so it is not exactly impossible.

Another potential star appearance could potentially be Travis Kelce.

The Kansas City Chiefs star – and Taylor Swift’s girlfriend – recently welcomed avid Knicks fan Ben Stiller to his New Heights podcast.

Stiller said he’d sort Kelce out with Knicks tickets and the Super Bowl winner seemed very excited.

But he hasn’t been to MSG since that invite – so could it be that he is waiting for the playoffs before he turns up?

After Saturday’s game, the Knicks will return to MSG for Game 2 on Monday night.

The Knicks ended the regular season third in the Eastern Conference with a 51-31 record while the much-improved Pistons were sixth, on 44-38.
