Mauricio Pochettino has opened the door to a sensational return to Tottenham for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.
The Wales international, who swapped White Hart Lane for the Bernabeu in September 2013, has been linked with a move away from the Spanish giants in the summer.
Manchester United are set to launch another summer pursuit for Bale but Pochettino has hinted he could instead return to north London.

‘He’s always kept in contact with the people who worked here… you never know,’ he said
‘Of course he’s a fantastic player. I saw him in Madrid when we played there,’ he said.
‘He’s always kept in contact with the people who worked here in the past.
‘I don’t have a close relationship with him or the people around him. But you never know what’s going to happen in football.’
Bale, who scored 70 goals in 160 matches for Spurs, has made only 10 appearances for Los Blancos this season as his spell in Spain continues to be disrupted by injury problems.
He has missed Madrid’s last eight La Liga matches through calf and hamstring problems. Fitness issues also kept him out of their two Champions League clashes with his former side earlier this season.
