Lucy Burgess is pregnant! Sam Burgess’ wife is expecting second child with former NRL star

Sam Burgess and his second wife Lucy (née Graham) are expecting their second child together, six months after they tied the knot in Rome, Italy.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the 33-year-old NRL WAG showed off her growing baby bump in a series of photos from their holiday in Capri.

In one photo, Lucy wore a figure-hugging lace dress with a plunging neckline as she cradled her baby bump and took in the breathtaking coastal views from their hotel balcony.

Another image showed the hairdresser’s bare bump in a loved-up mirror selfie with Sam, 36, while a third photo captured the married couple lounging in the sun by the beach.

‘A perfect weekend in Capri,’ she captioned her post.

Lucy’s announcement was met with several warm wishes and congratulatory messages from friends and followers.

The pair already share daughter Robbie, who they welcomed in September 2023. 

It comes after Lucy embarked on a new career shortly after her wedding to Sam in October.

Lucy – who is a hairdresser – appears to be following in the footsteps of Sam’s ex-wife Phoebe Burgess, who launched her career as an influencer in recent years after her split from the former footballer.

Sam married Lucy in a lavish Italian wedding after two years of dating.

In October, the NRL coach and his ladylove shared the news to Instagram alongside a carousel of breathtaking images captured at Villa Aurelia.

The 17th-century Baroque property is set on the highest point within the walls of Rome and features breathtaking views of the city.

Lucy looked heavenly in a Champagne-hued gown by designer Paula Nadal that featured a structured bodice that tumbled into a floor-length voluminous skirt.

Meanwhile, Sam appeared to channel fictional character James Bond in a tailored black suit paired with a white pocket square.

The NRL legend accessorised his look with a classic timepiece and a unique boutonnière pinned to his lapel.

The couple appeared deeply in love in a black and white frame that saw them passionately lock lips in a garden setting surrounded by ornate flower arrangements.

In another image, the newly married lovers are seen running through a cavernous room with abandon, smiling from ear to ear.

The blonde beauty added a touch of drama to her look with a long veil that tumbled behind her, also reaching the floor, while clutching a dainty bouquet.

She wore her highlighted hair in loose, bouncy waves with a middle part for the ceremony and showed off her delicate features with a subtle makeup palette.

The couple made sure daughter Robbie was an integral part of the day’s celebrations.

Sam proposed to Lucy in June 2023, just nine months after they went public with their relationship.

He previously revealed he was extremely nervous when he asked the glamorous hairdresser to marry him.

Three months later, the pair welcomed their first child together.

‘[It happened] during grand final week, we’re cheering,’ Sam revealed on Channel Seven’s Sunrise.

‘I’m on very limited sleep and am getting used to that again but it’s great!’ the proud father said.

‘She is fantastic and beautiful just like her mother,’ he added.

Lucy’s identity was revealed in 2022 after the retired South Sydney Rabbitohs star took her as his date to the premiere of Russell Crowe’s film Poker Face in Rome.

The English-born stunner is the co-founder of the sustainable fashion label Sentenced, which launched in September 2019. 

She also used to be a member of British girl group The Ultra Girls, who were featured heavily on The X Factor UK in 2009, and reunited at her wedding reception. 

Sam also shares two children: daughter Poppy, seven, and son Billy, five, with ex-wife Phoebe Burgess.

They were married for four years before splitting in 2019.
