Shane Warne’s son Jackson has opened up about his shocking recent flight to India that was marred by the death of a passenger and ended with the plane making an emergency landing.

Warne, travelling with his partner Kiah and some friends, were aboard an Air India flight from Singapore when the mid-air incident unfolded.

‘We managed to get on an Air India flight that night,’ Jackson said on social media.

‘But on the way there, something happened which I’ve never experienced on a flight before ever – you hear stories about it – but three rows behind us someone had a heart attack and… not confirmed a heart attack… but they were doing CPR for over an hour.

‘Had to emergency land in Calcutta and were there for about 2-3 hours and then we made it to (our destination in) India.’

Jackson’s mate Gabriel Chenkov-Shaw also described the horror flight in a social media post.

‘I don’t know if this is the weirdest and saddest thing to happen while catching a flight,’ he said.

‘I get tapped on the shoulder at like 2am to say someone three rows behind you has literally just died.

‘The plane was in absolute hysterics, I’ve never seen anything like it, it was something out of a movie.

‘They start asking who are the doctors on the plane.. made emergency landing in some random spot in India … they have no (in-flight) entertainment whatsover, my phone was flat so just staring at the next person’s seat in front of me for 16 hours straight.’

Warne is currently visiting the Rajasthan Royals – the side his famous father Shane led to the IPL title in 2008.

The 25-year-old has recently shed an incredible 15kgs, and says he’s ‘never felt better’.

He took to Instagram earlier this month to share a series of images that featured him showing off his muscular form at the gym.

One photo showed Jackson posing proudly while sitting on a bench in the gym, clad in a tank top that flaunted his well-toned biceps.

Another showed him working up a sweat as he trained his biceps with a series of arm curls.

Jackson also shared a photo that displayed his pre-weight loss physique and sporting a much fuller face.

He revealed the fruits of his gym labours, admitting that he has shed an impressive 15kg.

It wasn’t without struggle though, with Jackson revealing his biggest barrier to weight loss success – fast food.

‘I miss Maccas,’ Jackson captioned the images.

’15kgs down and never felt better! Thankyou @anabolic_gabe @anabolic.au fat loss meal plan.’

After his father tragically died of a heart attack in 2022, Warne said he could’ve let his grief ruin him.

Instead, he decided to focus on his health, and to channel his trauma into ‘energy for life’ and was delighted with how much progress he made.
