Mohammed Kudus’ contract contains a remarkable £125million release clause for Saudi sides this summer – but West Ham would be willing to listen to more realistic offers for their 24-year-old winger rather than demanding that lofty fee in full.

For Premier League rivals, Kudus’ buyout drops to £85m, sources have confirmed to Mail Sport. It is believed a bid in that region would be enough to prise him from the Hammers, with Al-Nassr – the team of Cristiano Ronaldo – among those interested in the Ghana international.

Kudus is one of West Ham’s most sellable assets, and the London club have accepted that they are in a position where they will need to sell before they can buy in the next transfer window.

They do not want to lose Jarrod Bowen, despite the highly-influential 28-year-old being someone on whom they could fetch a significant fee if they made him available in the market.

Manager Graham Potter is keen to stamp his influence on the squad after a season in which they have struggled, with the club sitting 17th in the Premier League currently but safe from relegation.

He brought in Kyle Macaulay from Chelsea following his appointment to act as his recruitment specialist, and there is a desire to bring down the average age of the team, given West Ham have averaged one of the oldest line-ups among England’s elite this season.

Kudus impressed after arriving at West Ham from Ajax for £38m in 2023, though his powers have waned in this second season.

He scored in their 3-2 loss at Brighton last weekend, marking his first goal in 2025.

It remains to be seen whether Kudus would be willing to move to Saudi if interest turned serious, but West Ham suspect offers will land in this coming window.
